Authorities search for suspects involved in weekend break-ins and thefts

Authorities had their hands full over the weekend responding to several break-ins in the city of Russellville.

The Russellville Police Department has been working to pinpoint the suspects involved and only believe a few are connected.

The break-ins over the weekend include:

• Marty’s Meat Market: Authorities said the owner has had some problems with relatives breaking into the business in the past. Nothing appeared to be missing, but investigators did find significant damages to the front doors and inside the building. The are still looking for suspects involved.

• There were multiple residential break-ins over the weekend. These were located on College Avenue, Cleveland Street and Westgate Road. Witness reports indicate two black males in a red car were spotted suspiciously loitering near Westgate Road at the time of that break-in. Authorities are still searching for those involved.

• A vehicle was broken into at the intersection of Madison and Carroll streets. Investigators are still looking into this incident.

• Authorities responded over the weekend to a reported robbery near Northside Grocery. Investigators said two unknown males, one white and one black, pulled a gun on two juveniles asking them for money. Reports indicate $350 and a cell phone was taken during the incident. Authorities are still looking for the culprits.

The Russellville Police Department asks the public to contact authorities at 332-2230 or Crime Stoppers at 386-8685 with information leading to the arrest of those involved in these incidents. For those who choose to be anonymous, check out the anonymous tip line at www.russellvillepd.com.
