Auditor reports Phil Campbell financially sound

PHIL CAMPBELL – Accountant Don Wallace presented the Phil Campbell Town Council with the town's annual audit during the regular council meeting this week.
Wallace said the town was in good standing, and commended officials for the town's excellent records and bookkeeping.
"I have to commend you on the excellent work done here," Wallace said. "Ann does a great job of keeping everything in order, and that really does make a big difference."
The council will look over the audit, and it will be placed back on the agenda at the next meeting to be discussed further.
The town also heard from Ken Price and Ed Morris with Sentell Engineering in Tuscaloosa.
Price told the council a little bit about the engineering firm, which handles various types of projects including water and streetscapes.
"We would like the opportunity to earn your business," Price told the group.
Councilman Danny Brown thanked them for making their presentation to the council, but informed them that the town did not have any projects underway at this time.
"The streetscape project has been drawn but we haven't taken it any further," Brown said. "We just don't have any projects right now, but we hope to at some point."

The next regular council meeting will be held Tuesday, April 6 at 7 p.m. at town hall.
