RED BAY- A gas station drive-off landed five people in jail Sunday on false identification and drug charges.
Red Bay Police Chief Jana Jackson said Teresa Torres Durrell, 42 of Franklin 81 in Phil Campbell; Kristi Renae Waid, 36, of 1001 Franklin 57 in Double Springs; Lisa Leshae Lloyd, 27, of 1710 9th Ave. in Haleyville; Johnnie Gail Borden, 27, of 241 Franklin 3433 in Haleyville and Amanda Dawn Borden, 26, of 224 Franklin 3433 in Haleyville have all been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance.
Jackson said Johnnie Borden and Amanda Borden were both charged with giving a false name to law enforcement.
Jackson said the maroon, 2002 dodge ram pick-up, involving the five suspects, was stopped after authorities received a call stating they had driven off without paying for their gas.
Authorities said the Red Bay police dog, "Unix," was alerted to the vehicle and found two plastic baggies that appeared to contain methamphetamine.
Officials said alcohol was also seized from the vehicle.
All five were transported to Franklin County Jail.
