The Russellville City Council is expected to vote tonight on whether or not to levy a one-cent sales tax.
According to the agenda for tonight's meeting, 38.33 percent of a sales tax increase would be used to pay the city school system's bond payment.
The issue arose more than two weeks ago and at that time, city council members David Grissom, Gary Cummings and Lanny Hubbard said they would not support a sales tax increase.
The council work session begins at 6 p.m. followed by the meeting at 7 p.m.
