PHIL CAMPBELL – Phil Campbell played three strong quarters against ninth-ranked Lexington before lightning forced the game to be postponed until 5 p.m. Monday.
The Bobcats defense forced a three-and-out on the game's opening series to set the tone for the game.
Lexington's 81-yard run midway through the second quarter provided the game's first points.
Phil Campbell answered on the next drive, moving 56 yards in nine plays. Quarterback Jeff White ended the drive when he found Dillan Hamby for a 2-yard scoring pass.
White hit Matt Waid on the 2-point conversion to give the Bobcats an 8-7 lead.
Lexington regained the lead with six seconds remaining in the second quarter on a 4-yard run. The Bears added to their lead with a 19-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.
Phil Campbell had the ball at midfield when the game was delayed by lightning with 7:55 left to play.
At the time of the interruption, White had completed 15-of-28 passes for 140 yards. He had a touchdown and an interception.
Waid led all receivers with 51 yards and seven catches.
Craig Saint led the Bobcat rushing attack with 38 yards.
