Julius Wayne "Mitch" Mitchell

Julius Wayne "Mitch" Mitchell, 77, of Russellville passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 18, 1932 in Red Bay to Harry Clovis and Ludie Inez Humphries Mitchell. He served his country from 1948-1955 in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Air Force. He retired to Russellville after working 35 years for John-Manville Corp. in Waukegan, Ill. He was a lifelong fan of Alabama Crimson Tide football and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing the lottery. He loved and served his family and will be dearly missed.
Funeral services were held Sept. 14 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. A.G. Stepp officiating. Burial with military honors followed in Burnout Cemetery.
He was survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Mitchell, of Russellville; five children, Brenda Gunter and husband, Philip, of Tupelo, Miss, Anthony Mitchell, of Russellville, Jeri Reasor and husband, Leo and Saretha Watts and Stuart Bowler, all of Zion, Ill., Donna Goggans and husband, Brandon, of Russellville; twelve granddaughters; seven great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Hoyt Mitchell; and sister, Jerri Lawrence.
Lois Crouch

Lois Crouch, 85, of Hodges, passed away Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born October 11, 1923 in Marion County, Al. to Copeland and Carlie Tice Williams. She was a homemaker and attended Williams Sanctuary Baptist Church in Hodges.
Funeral services were held Sept. 13 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro Curtis Sutton officiating. Burial was in Williams Sanctuary.
She is survived by two sisters, Gertrude Colburn and Quillia Mae Childers, both of Hamilton, Ala.; one brother, Herbert "Buster" Williams and wife, Eddis, of Russellville; sister-in-law, Dot Crouch, of Hodges; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus Crouch; her parents; and six brothers, Garland, Travis, Willie, Clyde, Jimmy D. and L.V. Williams.
Troy Hutcheson

Troy Hutcheson, 83, of Phil Campbell, passed away Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009 at his residence. He was a native of Franklin County and retired from General Motors.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with burial in Franklin Memory Gardens.
He is survived by his wife, Kittie M. Hutcheson, of Phil Campbell; daughter, Cheryl Hutcheson, of Phil Campbell; son, Toby Lee Hutcheson and wife, Sherry, of Spruce Pine; sister, Jeanette Franks, of Newburg; brother, Dewey Scott, of Spruce Pine; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chess and Rosie Bell Hutcheson; and son, Billy Wayne Hutcheson.
Alan McBride

Alan Wade McBride, 41, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2009 at Shoals Hospital.
Funeral services were Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at New Bethel Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Beasley officiating. Interment was in the adjoining cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Hovater, Dale Holland, Buddy Crowden, Ronald Terrell, Shane Mansell and Ricky Holland.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger Dale McBride and Alvie Wayne McBride; grandparents, George and Jewel Holland, William and Myrtle McBride.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Hindman McBride; daughters, Jessica Renee McBride and Alaina Lou McBride; parents, Alvie and Gwendolyn Mae McBride; sisters, Sue Wallace and husband, Barry, Judy Bewley and husband, Tom; 10 nieces and nephews.
The family extends their gratitude and thanks to the nursing staff at Shoals Hospital, physicians and staff at Tennessee Valley Cancer Center and Bethsaida Cancer Center.
