FBC hosts workshops on cultural trends

First Baptist Church of Russellville will welcome a guest speaker tomorrow focusing on the cultural trends of faith and those trends affects Christians.
Bob Waldrep with Crosswinds Foundation of Faith and Culture will present three workshops Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m. The second workshop will begin at 4:30 p.m. and the final workshop will begin at 6 p.m.
Waldrep said the first workshop will be a broad overview of different cultural trends, and how they impact the Church.
The second workshop will focus on the diversity of faith and beliefs.
"Someone says they are a Christian," Waldrep said. "We have to find out what that means to that person. 92 percent of adults in American say they believe in God. The question is which God to they worship."
Waldrep said the third workshop will focus on whether or not Christians should get involved with marketplace evangelist, or should they keep their relationship with God a private matter.
Waldrep has written numerous articles about cultural and spiritual trends; coauthored "The Truth Behind the Secret," and has appeared on ABC's World News Tonight, ABC's Nightline, CNN, USA Today, Time, Newsweek, and Christianity Today.
