Singing natural for 12 year-old

Getting on the big stage to perform seems routine for Brooklyn Hall.
After all, she has been doing it since she was just a young girl.
She grabbed a microphone and climbed on stage for the first time back when she was just nine years old.
So, for the now 12 year-old, that seems like a long time ago.
Hall recently won second place in a singing competition at the Panoply Arts Festival in Huntsville where she competed against teens much older.
It is just one of many competitions the Russellville Middle School sixth grader has competed in across north Alabama.
Hall, who performs routinely at festivals and shows across the area, sang Carrie Underwood's "Inside Your Heaven" at Panoply.
Her mother, Ann Hall, said her daughter was chosen to perform after a preliminary round of judging for the festival.
The performance led to an invitation to sing in Nashville, Tenn., during the popular country music Fan Fair week.
"Someone saw me on youtube and asked if I would be interesting in singing there," said Hall, who currently likes the music of Taylor Swift, Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler and Underwood.
Though the singing circuit has taken her across the state, there is still more out there, Hall said.
"I want to have my own concert at the Roxy," she said. "When I get older I want to be a professional country singer, but if that doesn't work out, I want to be a teacher."
Until then, she will spend her afternoons practicing as a middle school cheerleader and singing wherever she is asked.
"It's something I really like to do."
