City making progress in cleaning image

Russellville officials are doing what they can to clean the city, even if it requires some drastic measures.
The new city administration ran last year on a platform of cleaning the area up and it's good to see that happening.
Building officials will be burning and tearing down condemned houses and the police department will be issuing citations for people who do not meet city standards for their homes and yards.
Council members ask that anyone who has items that need to be hauled away, call the street department and have that done.
It will take us all to make this the beautiful county that it can be.
