Joyce Cooper Dickinson, 84, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2009, at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Eastside Church of Christ in Russellville.
The funeral service was Sunday, Jan. 18 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Johnny Richardson officiating. Burial was in Franklin Memory Gardens in Russellville.
She is survived by her children, Gene Dickinson and wife Vickie of Decatur, Nancy Vinson and husband Dennis of Somerville and Kathy Hargrove and husband Lanny of Spruce Pine; sister, Jane Cooper; sisters-in-law, Jeanette Cooper and Maxine Ballard; grandchildren, Brandi Boyd and husband Nicholas, Joshua Vinson and wife Jenny, Adam Dickinson, Daniel Vinson and Andrew Dickinson; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Justice Vinson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Dickinson; parents, Joe and Emma Cooper; and brother, Mitchell Cooper.
Special thanks to Dr. Ricky Irons, Northwest Alabama Cancer Center, Southern Care Hospice and caregiver, Faye Baker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 12220 Hwy. 43, Russellville, AL 35653 or Rustic Youth Camp, 3170 Shady Grove Rd., Russellville, AL 35653.

L.C. Fisher, 72, of Russellville, Ala., passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at his residence.
He was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and attended the Church of Christ. He had been employed by the Alabama State Department of Transportation for the past 50 years. He was a member of the Alabama National Guard from 1954 until 1996 and was a former member of the Civil Service Board for the City of Russellville.
The funeral service was Monday, Jan. 19 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Jeff Fleming officiating. Burial was in Devaney Cemetery in Russellville.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Fisher of Russellville; children, Timothy Aaron Fisher of Florence and Andy Joel Fisher and wife Meredith of Russellville; brother, David Fisher and wife Maria of Russellville; granddaughter, Maya Fisher of Russellville; niece, Danielle Fisher Hovater of Russellville; and nephew, Dustin Fisher of Russellville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Eula Fisher.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
