Nora Scogin

Nora Scogin, 88, of Mt. Vernon, Texas, formerly of Phil Campbell, Ala., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Scogin.
Funeral services were Saturday, Jan. 17 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville. Interment was in Shady Grove Cemetery near Phil Campbell.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
Joe Wilson Kelly

Joe Wilson Kelly, 67, of Haleyville, Ala., passed away, Jan. 15, 2009, at his home.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Haleyville. His parents, Wilson and Lena Langston Kelly, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 17 at the First Baptist Church with Bro. Hugh Cavender and Dr. Jim Cooley officiating. Burial was in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He is survived by his children, Mark Kelly, Todd Kelly, Chad Kelly, Curt White and Ashley Kelly Vandiver; and grandchildren, Andrew Kelly, Walker Kelly, Carol Ann Kelly, Mary Catherine Kelly, Wilson Kelly, Hannah Kelly, Ella Vandiver and Ryan White.
Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville assisted the family.
