Local efforts make this holiday very merry

There have been numerous efforts to make everyone's holiday season merry and bright. From the Russellville city employees to local churches, Russellville and Franklin County has pulled together in order to make a difference in many lives.
Residents lined up last Saturday in order to get assistance with Christmas this year. While there are many in Franklin County who are hurting this holiday season, there are many of those who are willing to give of themselves-time, money and love-to help those in need.
Love, caring and compassion are the principles that founded this holiday regardless of how you choose to celebrate. So regardless of how you decided to give this holiday season, we want to take this opportunity to thank you for reaching out and helping your neighbor.
Our hope is that everyone in Franklin County has very Merry Christmas filled with hope, love and joy.
