William Joe Hyde

William Joe Hyde was born Nov. 1, 1931, in Haleyville, Ala., where he passed away Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2008, at the age of 77.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Korean War and attended Living Church of God.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 5 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Haleyville with Curtis Taylor and Evo Walker officiating. Burial followed at Gray Rock Cemetery in the Oak Grove community.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Hyde; children, Rodney Hyde, Vernon Lee, Jeff Hyde and William Hyde; sister, Flora Lee Fuller; grandchildren, Chris Hyde, Andy Hyde, Beth Lee, Kayla Hyde, David Hyde, John Hyde and Adam Riddle; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Zenobia Hyde; sons, Brady Hyde and Victor Lee; sisters, Della, Lousie and Juanita; and brother, Horace Hyde.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
Billy Wallace Crumpton

Billy Wallace Crumpton was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Haleyville, Ala., where he passed away Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at the age of 84.
He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during World War II. He was retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of Littleville Methodist Church in Haleyville.
Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 5 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville with Scott Ward officiating. Burial was in Littleville Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Priscilla Dean Crumpton; children, Billy Charles Crumpton, Peggy Lee Parrish, Mary Ann Sparks, Sally Kay Fuller and Nancy Mae Phillips; grandchildren, Stephanie Lowman, Paisley Parrish and Greg Taylor; great-grandchildren, Connor Lowman, Maddie Lowman, Benjamin Lowman, J.B. Elkins, Chase Taylor and Hadden Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Roxie Crumpton; brothers, Amos, Lindsey and Jay Dice Crumpton; sisters, Carrie Pugh, Lillar Burnett, Donnie Bennett and Leola Finley.
Pinkard Funeral Home assisted the family.
