County officials say good-bye

The four members of the current county commission bid their farewells this week during the commission's last scheduled meeting.
Commissioners Norris Lewey, Rayburn Massey, Gene Graham and Jackie Bradford were all defeated during this summer's party primaries.
Massey thanked his fellow commissioners and wished the incoming commission luck.
"There's a lot more to sitting in this seat than it seems," Massey said. "The next commission will be capable and will do a good job. I wish them all the best of luck."
Fellow commissioners also expressed support for incoming commissioners and those still running.
Jackie Bradford urged the new commission to keep the county's citizens in mind with all they do.
"They deserve the best you can give them," he said.
