BREAKING NEWS: Mom charged with murder

By Staff
A Russellville mother turned herself into Russellville authorities this morning after being indicted on capital murder charges.
Christie Michelle Scott, 31, of 180 Signore Drive in Russellville, is accused of killing her son in an August house fire.
Scott is charged with three alternate counts of capital murder. She is accused of killing her six-year-old son, Mason Scott, by use of fire on Aug. 16.
She was indicted by a grand jury session last week.
Scott turned herself into Russellville authorities at 11 a.m. today. Bond was denied by Judge Terry Dempsey, and Scott was transported to the Franklin County Jail Monday afternoon.
The arraignment hearing will be Oct. 28.
