Phillips rolls to 66-8 win over THS
THARPTOWN – The Phillips offense rolled into Tharptown Friday and looked like the unit that was averaging 50 points per game as the Black Bears defeated the Wildcats 66-8.
With the loss, Tharptown falls to 0-4 overall and 0-4 in region play, putting the Wildcats in a tough position to try and qualify for the playoffs.
The lone Tharptown score came from Drew Ergle, who recovered a fumble and returned it 40 yards for the touchdown. Brandon Cothrum connected with Manny Ricardo on the two-point play.
Tharptown will travel to Mount Hope next week for another region game.
