RHS trying to win pep rally contest

By Staff
This week the No.-1 ranked Russellville football team will host No.-7 ranked Hartselle in a battle for the top spot in Class 5A, Region 8.
While the team prepares for this important game, students at RHS are trying to win another contest – WHNT's Pep Rally of the Week.
If Russellville wins, WHNT will travel to the school and film the pep rally. The video will then be posted on the channel's Web site.
Russellville faces stiff competition in the contest as the other candidates are Athens, Florence and Deshler.
Tuesday afternoon, the Golden Tigers had 48 percent of the vote while Athens had 40 percent.
To vote, visit www.whnt.com and click on the sports section then click on Football Friday.
