Russellville native to appear on TV

A familiar face will appear on network television tonight as a Russellville native performs on a nationally-televised cable show.
Sonequa Martin, the daughter of Charles and Vera Martin of Russellville, will appear on the USA Network's "Law and Order Criminal Intent", which will air at 8 p.m. CST.
Martin, a former champion in forensics and dramatic interpretation at the University of Alabama, has been living in New York for a few years and has several projects in the works.
"We are very proud of her," Vera Martin said.
The show aired on NBC for seven seasons, but was picked up by the USA Network, which is owned by NBC, for an eighth season.
