Jewel Britnell

Jewel Underwood Britnell, age 84, of Russellville, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Russellville Hospital. He lived his entire in Franklin County and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He served in the Army and received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals. He was a retired farmer.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Bro. Jerome Sherill and Bro. Eddi Wix officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Mr. Britnell is survived by sons, Randy (Sandy) Britnell of Arab, Ronald (Judy) Britnell of Hartselle, Marc (Pam) Britnell of Muscle Shoals; sister, Mavis Hallmark of Macon, Ga.; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the service included Matt Britnell, Wes Britnell, Josh Britnell, J.R. Britnell, Hugh Ray Harbin, Frankie Britnell and Bobby Tuberfield.
He was preceded in death by wife, Willodean Britnell.
The family would like to thank the Newburg Community for the loving support and care they provided for their father and grandfather.
Terry Wilemon, Sr.

Terry Joe Wilemon, Sr., age 43 of Red Bay, died on Friday, July 18, 2008. He was born November 26, 1964 in Tupelo to Tryson and Betty Lofton Wilemon. He was logger for 10 years and attended the Church of Lord Jesus Christ in Red Bay. He was preceded in death by his father, Tryson Wilemon, and a son, Terry Joe Wilemon, Jr.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Church of Lord Jesus Christ with Bro. Bobby Clark and Bro. David Humbers officiating.
Burial was in the Red Bay City Cemetery.
Mr. Wilemon is survived by sons, Pvt. Daniel Joe Forrest of Camp Shelby, Miss., and Dustin Wilemon of Red Bay; mother, Betty Wileon of Red Bay; brother, Michael Wilemon (Cheryl) of Red Bay; and sister, Shauna Humbers (David) of Red Bay.
Pallbearers for the service included Ellis Cromeans, Chris Sartain, Wayne Brooks, Barry Lofton, Evan Robinson, Eric Leathers, and David Leathers.
Frank Ashby

Frank Ashby, age 68, of Hodges, died Friday, July 18, 2008 at Russellville Hospital. He was born May 15, 1940 in Belmont, Miss. To Arey and Lura Lee Cosby Ashby. He was a member of Lawler's Chapel Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay with Bro. Bruce Pope Officiating. Burial was in the Lawler's Chapel Cemetery in Hodges.
Mr. Ashby is survived by two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; step-sons, David Scott (Nora) of Savannah, Tenn., and Henry Lee Scott of Bolivar, Tenn.; sisters, Bonnie Marie Hicks, Frances, Parsons, Maxine Vanderford and Barbara Flake; brothers, Steven Cosby, Bobby Cosby, and Ernest Cosby.
He was preceded in death by son, Tony Ashby; brothers, Huston Cosby and David Lee Cosby.
Elvie Jackson

Elvie Jackson, age 84, of Red Bay, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Care Center of Red Bay. He was born October 25, 1923 in Franklin County to James Kellus and Linnie Pearl McKinney Jackson. He was a truck driver for Thorn and Thorn Lumber Company.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Billy West and Bro. Harold Ozbirn officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery in Vina.
Mr. Jackson is survived by children, Tommie Wigginton of Belmont, Miss., Linnie Mae Dees (Ricky) of Red Bay, and John Robert Jackson (LaRue) of Golden, Miss.; brother, Houston Cullen Jackson (Ellean) of Illinois; sisters, Kathryn McCarley of Zion, Ill., Jewel Pharr of Hackleburg, Margie Carter (Bill) of Decatur, and Evonne Flaridy (Ray) of Kenosha, Wi.; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the service included Jim Gannon, Shone Wigginton, Michael Gannon, Chris Jackson, Carlton Jackson, and Ricky Dees. Honorary pallbearers included Josh Allen.

Marveline Dickinson, age 74, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Terrace Manor Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 21, 2008 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Keith Prince officiating. Burial was in the Franklin Memorial Gardens.
She is survived by her sister, Maxine Ballard and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Stella Whitley Dickinson.

Naomi Garcia, infant daughter of Fernando Garcia and Lydia Soto of Russellville, died Monday, July 21, 2008 at Russellville Hospital.
Graveside services will be held Friday, July 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Knights of Pythias Cemetery with Bro. Alvarado officiating.
She is survived by her parents.

Infant daughter of Juan Mateo Rayos and Maria Velasquez of Russellville, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at Russellville Hospital.
The family held a private service Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Burial will be today at the Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
