RED BAY- An overnight accident at Gates Corporation in Red Bay left one employee injured Thursday.

"Right now we are not sure what happened but we are still investigating the incident and plan of have more information available as soon as the investigation is complete," McNeer said.
Officials said the employee had one of his arms torn off as a result of the accident, which occurred around 2 a.m. Thursday.
NorthStar Paramedic Services responded to the scene and transported the employee to Red Bay Hospital and later to UAB in Birmingham.
No information on the employee's condition was made available Thursday afternoon, but McNeer did confirm that the employee's arm was partially severed.
