Roxy funding will be a benefit to future generations

The historic Roxy Theater in downtown Russellville has served this community for generations.
An ever growing concert series takes place there each week and continues to pull in popular artists and larger crowds.
So we applaud the news this week that the Franklin County Arts and Humanities Council received $50,000 for the building.
The Roxy renovation project has been ongoing for years and this additional funding will be a welcomed gift.
The council has worked hard to keep the theater open to concerts, recitals and other local performances.
Hopefully the $50,000 will allow future generations to enjoy a show inside its historic walls.
Volunteers and local leaders alike are making that a possibility
