Monday Update: Man found guilty of nine charges

A Franklin County jury found a Phil Campbell man guilty of nine charges this week.
Lewis Wayne Campbell, 25, of 35 Scott Hollow Road in Phil Campbell, was found guilty of two counts of reckless endangerment, first-degree theft, first degree criminal mischief, second-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief, obscuring the identity of a vehicle, eluding and second-degree receiving stolen property.
The charges stem from a high speed chase in August 2007 when Campbell eluded police to avoid a traffic citation, officials said.
