Training classes beneficial
By Staff
The Franklin County Fire Association is working to prepare first responders for different emergency situations by offering a class to help teach emergency fundamentals.
The course covers many different medical areas including, but not limited, to childbirth, poisoning and substance abuse, pediatric and geriatric emergencies and terrorism awareness.
The course is offered through the Franklin County Fire Association and is paid for through money secured from a private donation.
Courses such as these are not only beneficial to the emergency responders taking them, but to the entire community as a whole.
Imagine the scene of a car wreck, house fire or major disaster, such as a tornado, if our first responders were not prepared for all situations.
There are so many circumstances that could occur that we take for granted.
A big thank you should be given to those willing to serve and to those who made this class possible.
