PC Little League signups
May 8-10
The Phil Campbell Little League will hold signups Thursday, May 8-Saturday, May 10. Girls ages 13-14 and 15-18 can register for softball and boys ages 13-14 can sign up for baseball from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday. Vina end-of-the-year celebration
May 9
Vina School will hold an end-of-the-year celebration Friday, May 9 at 6 p.m. in the cafeteria. Barbecue plates will be sold for $8 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., a cake auction will be held at 6:30 p.m. and candidates will give two-minute speeches at 7 p.m. A $100 giveaway will be announced at the finale. Petunias in hanging baskets for Mother's Day will also be sold for $12.

BASS regional tournament
May 22-23
DECATUR – The BASS Club World Championship (BCWC) Regional Tournament, a qualifier for the World Championship, will be held Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23.
Ten regional tournaments are held throughout the year with winners from each advancing to the BASS Club World Championship, which is set for Oct. 6-11. For more information on the BCWC tournaments, visit www.bassmaster.com.
