Thursday Update: County offices to move, use new space

Thanks to the departure of the Franklin County Sheriff's Department, current occupants of the county courthouse will be getting a change of scenery.
The county commission voted to allow three departments to relocate within the courthouse to utilize the now empty offices.
The Office for Veterans Affairs will move from the basement to the old sheriff's office. Computers and Technical Support will move to the VA office and the circuit clerk will use the vacant DARE office for storage.
