Tucker, Lane win javelin throw at RB meet

RED BAY – Tharptown's Chloe Lane won the girls javelin throw, while Red Bay's Cody Tucker finished first in the boys division at the Red Bay track meet Wednesday.
Tucker's distance of 136 feet, nine inches had plenty of room to defeat runner-up Josh Wigginton and third-place finisher Alex Graham of Belgreen.
Wigginton's best throw measured 123 feet, four inches, while Graham had a distance of 117 feet, five inches.
In the girls division, Lane finished first with a throw of 54 feet, four inches, and Belgreen's Katy Britton had a distance of 78 feet, seven inches to finish as runner-up.
The Franklin County track meet will be held Wednesday, April 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Red Bay. Tucker, Lane win javelin throw at RB meet
