City school board recognizes students for achievements

The Russellville Board of Education recognized students achieving at the state level during this school year.
Superintendent Dr. Wayne Ray and Board President Jerry Groce presented students who achieved state level accomplishments in several areas that included RHS and RMS All-State Choirs, All-State Show Choir, University Majorette, UCA Cheerleader, All-State Football, All-State Basketball, Varsity Basketball Team, Drama Trumbauer and Thespian.
"We have several groups of students who have achieved at the state level," Ray told the board. "We have several more students who have achieved at the district and area levels as well."
Ray said that they are very proud of their students' accomplishments.
The board has honored students who achieve at the state level for several years.

The next regular board meeting will be held on Thursday, April 17 at 3:30 p.m. at the Central Office.
