The following are obituaries for March 28

John Dewitt Quinn
March 26, 2008
John Dewitt Quinn, 76, of Spruce Pine, Alabama died March 26 at Russellville Hospital.
He had lived in Franklin County for the past 23 years and was a member of First Baptist Church, Clio, Michigan. He was a staff sergeant in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
He was retired from General Motors with 30 years service.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 29 at 11 a.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville with Jerome Sherrill officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 28 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Yvonne Lawler Quinn, of Spruce Pine; children, Anthony C. Quinn and wife, Lori, of Birch Run, Mich.; Debbie Q. Buffaloe and husband Richard, of Nashville, Tenn., John G. Quinn and wife, Jacque, Montrose, Mich.; James A. Quinn and wife Denise, Franklinton, N.C., Barry M. Quinn and wife, Ruth, of Hackleburg; brother, Paul Quinn, of Baton Rouge; sisters, Mable Jessup and husband Jake, Kanyon Lake, Texas, Bertha Thorpe, Hackleburg, Al., Betty J. Stutts and husband James Buford, of Hackleburg; 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Myrtle Quinn.
Anna L. Jackson

Anna Louise Jackson, 97, of Russellville, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Russellville Hospital.
Mrs. Jackson lived all her life in Franklin County and was a member of the Church of Christ.
The graveside services were Thursday, March 27 at Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville, with Johnny Richardson officiating.
Survivors include her daughter, Carol Ann Daniel, of Russellville, and her grandson, Kenneth David Smith, of Russellville.
She was preceded in death by husbands, Les Jackson and Floyd Askew, and her grandson, Mark Alan Smith.
Pinkard Funeral Home is directing.
Lawrence E. Martin
March 25, 2008
Lawrence E. Martin, 74, of Russellville, died Tuesday, March 25, 2008, at Helen Keller Hospital.
Mr. Martin lived most of his life in Franklin County and attended the Baptist church. He retired after 20 years service with the
United States Air Force and 20 years with Town Hill Truck Stop. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2008, at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Martin, of Russellville; daughters, Eva Pruett, Anna Puckett, Brenda Martin and Glenda Trussell, all of Russellville; sons, Paul Martin, of Seoul, Korea, Ed Martin, of Tuscumbia, and Howard Martin, of Russellville; brothers, William Martin, of Hodges, Joe Smith, of Athens, and Johnny Martin, of Aberdeen, Miss.; sisters, Lacie Anderson and Gracie Moore, both of Nashville, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elzie and Minnie Martin.
