Monday Update: RHS senior tapped for robotics event

Josh Montgomery, senior at Russellville High School, has been selected as one of 50 high school students to participate this Saturday, March 29, in The University of Alabama Student Chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers annual Robotics Event.
Participants will form teams to design, construct, program and test an autonomous robot to negotiate an obstacle course. In addition, they will attend presentations about mechanical engineering and the undergraduate experience at The University of Alabama.
Previously, Josh has been offered 4 academic scholarships to attend The University of Alabama, including Capstone Scholars, Deans Engineering Excellence, Metallurgical &Materials Engineering, and most recently the R.C. Thomas Memorial Endowment Scholarship.
Josh also has received both academic and athletic offers from Troy, Mississippi State, and UNA.
