PC baseball downs Hamilton
HAMILTON – Stephen Lacey earned his first win on the mound this season as Phil Campbell defeated Hamilton 10-8 Thursday.
Dillan Hamby earned the save by worknig the last two innings, while Lacey, who also had two hits, pitched five. Korey Pounders led the Bobcats with three hits, while Jonathon Dill, Jordan Benford and Hamby had two hits apiece and Adam Mitchell added a double.
The Phil Campbell varsity and B-team will play at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 18 at East Lawrence.
Red Bay tennis sweeps Sheffield
SHEFFIELD – The Red Bay boys tennis team cruised past Sheffield 9-0 Thursday, while the girls earned their first victory with a 5-4 decision and Roman Lynch picked up a junior varsity boys win with an 8-1 match against Ace Eaton.
Wesley Jarnigan, Matt Young, John Thigpen, Chris Funderburk and Kirk Armstrong each earned 8-0 singles wins, while Toby Gray won 8-1 at No. 3.
In doubles play, Jarnigan-Young, Thigpen-Funderburk and Gray-Armstrong all picked up victories to improve Red Bay to 3-2 overall and 2-0 in the section, while Sheffield dropped to 0-1 (0-1).
Paige Palmer, Morgan Duncan, Brittany Scott and Caitlin Childers won singles matches for Red Bay, while Palmer-Duncan earned a doubles victory to win the match for the Lady Tigers.
Speake softball edges Tharptown
THARPTOWN – Despite two hits apiece by Braeden Sellers and Heather Hatton, Tharptown lost to Speake 5-2 Thursday as the Lady Bobcats' Hannah Morgan earned the victory on the mound.
The Lady Wildcats fell to 4-2, while Speake improved to 4-2.
RMS football meeting
March 25
The Russellville Middle School football program will host a player/parent meeting from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 25. The meeting is for all boys in the sixth and seventh grades who are interested in participating in spring football practice.

The Russellville Parks and Recreation Department flag football league will register teams until March 31.The league is for ages 16 and up, and the fee is $150 per team with a limit of 15 players.

Regional BASS tournament

DECATUR – The Decatur/Morgan County Convention and Visitors Bureau is pleased to announce Ingalls Harbor has been chosen for the BASS Club World Championship (BCWC) Regional Tournament, a qualifier for the World Championship. The regional tournament is set for Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23.
