Freeman Robbins
March 1, 2008
Freeman Norris Robbins, age 74 of Double Springs, died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at his home. He was a member of Double Springs Worship Center.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Double Springs Worship Center with Jimmy Frederick, Alvis Treece, ad Orbie Pierce officiating. Burial was in the Double Springs Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Robbins is survived by his wife, Doris Robbins; children, Rex Robbins, Dale Robbins, Donny Schrader, John Quinton Schrader, and Sebrina Schrader; brothers, Billy Robbins, Jerry Robbins, James Robbins, and Jimmy Robbins; sisters, Melba Holland, Janie Grace, Christine Cornelius, Pauline Scogin, and Kay Limire; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Robbins was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Gladys Robbins, and son, James Schrader.
Pinkard Funeral Home of Haleyville assisted the family.
Donna Rhodes
March 2, 2008
Donna Jane Bates Rhodes of Haleyville died Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Lakeland Community Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Haleyville.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Haleyville with Dr. Jim Cooley and her son, Josh Rhodes, officiating. Burial was in the Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Ms. Rhodes is survived by her husband, Harold Rhodes; sons, Josh Rhodes and Matt Rhodes; brother, Jerry Bates; sisters, Gwen Loveless, Brenda Head, Glenda Vaughn, Ann Clark, and Patsy Pike; and grandchildren, Sophie Grace Rhodes and Camden Piper Rhodes.
She was preceded in death by parents Loyal and Velvia Bates, and brother, Billy Wayne Bates.
Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville assisted the family.
Rita Eaton
March 3, 2008
Rita Dianne Eaton, age 52, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at Walker Baptist Hospital in Jasper. She was born in Haleyville and attended Sunny Home Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville with Jason Thorn, Mac Buttram, and Royce Brimer officiating.
Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Ms. Eaton is survived by her children, David Matthew Eaton, and Emily Eaton Mims and husband, Chris; grandchildren, Zoe and Zen Eaton; Step-mother, Betty Godsey; sisters, Carolyn Stough, Connie Ingle, Becky Martin, Patricia Eaton, Jennifer McInnish; brothers, Gary Simms, J.D. Eaton, and Stephen Eaton.
Ms. Eaton was preceded in death by her father, Woodrow Eaton; mother, Leola Brimer Eaton; brother, A.C. Eaton; grandmother, Fannie Eaton; and grandparents, Jont and Lizzie Brimer.
Pinkard Funeral Home of Haleyville assisted the family.
