Former county official arrested

Four more people were arrested Friday on methamphetamine charges, including a former county commissioner.
Franklin County Sheriff Larry Plott said that former county commissioner Curtis Bragwell, 55 of 12040 U.S. 43, Russellville, was one of four people arrested after a search warrant was executed Friday.
Curtis Bragwell, Kenneth Bragwell, 41, of 1810 Franklin 41, Russellville, and William David Bragwell, 64,of the same address, and Bobbie Lindsey, 28, of 2526 Polk St., Russellville, were all charged with trafficking methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Plott said they were arrested after a search warrant at 1810 U.S. 43 in Russellville.
"This has been an ongoing investigation for sometime," the sheriff said.
According to the Alabama Criminal Code, trafficking in methamphetamine is a Class A felony, punishable with 10 years to life in prison upon conviction. All four individuals arrested in the case remain in the Franklin County Jail awaiting a bond hearing. The Russellville Police Department assisted with the arrests.
