Vina sponsors pro wrestling event

VINA – The Vina basketball program will present a professional wrestling "Star Wars 2008" fundraiser at the Vina High School gym Friday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m.
Title matches include WWF Superstars, ladies world title and the U.S. junior title. There will be a special match featuring "Action" Mike Jackson vs The Wrestling Superstar at 1:30 p.m. at the gym for $1, plus an autograph party from 3:30 p.m. to 5 :30 p.m. at the Vina parade.
For ticket information, call coach Sonny Tibbs at 331-2265 or (205) 495-5375. Tickets cost $10 and all proceeds will benefit the Vina basketball program.
PC Little League, NSA signups

PHIL CAMPBELL – Registration for Little League baseball (boys 5-12) and NSA softball (girls 5-12) will be held Saturday, Feb.16 and Feb. 23 at the Phil Campbell Little League Field from 9 a.m. until noon. For more information, call (205) 993-4756.
Russellville Little League signups

Registration for Russellville little league baseball will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 16 and Feb. 23 at the Ralph C. Bishop Community Center. Try-outs will be held on March 1 at the Lee Sports Complex. The league is open to children ages seven to 12. For more information, call Richie Malone at 332-1514.
City youth softball registration

The Russellville Parks and Recreation Department youth softball league will register teams for ages 6-12 until Saturday, March 1. The late registration is from March 3-8, and the fee is $35 per player or $65 for two players. For more information, call the department at 332-8770.
City flag football registration

The Russellville Parks and Recreation Department flag football league will register teams until March 31.The league is for ages 16 and up, and the fee is $150 per team with a limit of 15 players. To register, come to the Russellville Recreation Center or call Derrick Dorn at 332-8770.
