Jason Cannon
Last Monday morning, Franklin County entered a new phase.
Cheryl Bradford, a lifelong Russellville resident, was hired to fill the vacancy left when former director Lisa Stockton resigned in December.
I was on the Chamber Board for less than a year before Lisa resigned. I thought a lot of her.
I still do.
I remember digging in to the Watermelon Festival last year and thinking what a tremendous undertaking that must have been. I was also impressed to see it go off without a hitch.
I'll miss not seeing Lisa and working with her on these projects but you can't fault someone for taking advantage of an opportunity that better suits their needs.

I look forward to being a part of the chamber's growth in the coming months and years. I am excited for Cheryl as she puts her spin and fresh perspective on things.
And if she ever needs a hat rack, I hope she'll call on me.
