Russellville sweeps Colbert Co.

The No. 2 Russellville boys cruised past 3A Colbert County 78-43 Monday.
Russellville (26-0) didn't let the visiting Indians spoil Senior Night as senior guards Siran Winston, Cory Trapp and Yovanni Ramirez played their final regular-season home game.
The Golden Tigers led by 11 after the first quarter and used a 24-9 run in the second to lead 42-16 at halftime. Russellville scored 22 points in the third quarter to put the game out of reach for the Indians.
Terence Smith had a double-double for Russellville with 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Winston had 16 and Jordan Hammond added 10.
Drake Stewart had a team-high 17 points for Colbert County (5-19).
Girls

Colbert County 43
The Russellville girls used a big third quarter to defeat Colbert County 53-43 Monday.
Seniors Victoria Taylor and JaLesa Hamilton combined for 16 points in their final home game as the Lady Golden Tigers overcame a 25-22 halftime deficit with a 21-4 run in the third.
Tasha West scored a game-high 16 points for Russellville (7-19), while Erin Reynolds had 15 and Taylor added 10.
Kashetta Peters paced Colbert County (1-17) with 15 points, and Liz Noceda finished with 11.
Waterloo 68
Vina 52
BELGREEN – Despite a game-high 34 points from Vina's Heather Holland, top-seeded Waterloo eliminated Vina in the opening round of the Class 1A, Area 16 tournament Monday.
Kendra Kelly led Waterloo with 25 points.
Hamilton 61
Phil Campbell 34
PHIL CAMPBELL – Phil Campbell fell to visiting Hamilton Monday.
Alissa Smith led the Lady Bobcats with 14 points.
Katie Palmer had 17 for Hamilton, and LaQueesha Poe added 16.
