RHS boys defeat Sheffield, Haleyville

SHEFFIELD – No. 3 Russellville logged win No. 23 to tie a school record for wins in a season as the Golden Tigers overwhelmed Sheffield 88-45 Tuesday night.
Ten different players scored for Russellville (23-0) as Cory Trapp had a game-high 24 points, while Siran Winston had 12 and Terence Smith added 11. Nate Dunston also finished in double figures with 10 points.
Antoine Robinson led Sheffield (12-13) with 15 points.

Cory Trapp poured in a season-high 35 points as Russellville pounded Class 4A Haleyville in a 101-47 make-up game at home Saturday night.
The Golden Tigers outscored Haleyville 33-12 in the first quarter and scored 20 points or more in all four periods.
Nate Dunston added 25 points for Russellville, while Jordan Hammond had 12 and Siran Winston scored 10.
Lance Gravitt and Patrick Brown each finished with 11 points for Haleyville.
