PHIL CAMPBELL – Red Bay beat Belgreen at the buzzer in the Franklin County tournament semifinals, but Phil Campbell prevented a sequel in the finals as the Bobcats won 40-39 Saturday to repeat as B-boys champions.
With the game tied for the fifth time, Phil Campbell's Landon Hutcheson drilled a 3-pointer to put the Bobcats ahead 40-37 with three minutes remaining.
Phil Campbell attemped to hold the ball for the last two minutes but Red Bay's Blake Brummet hit a layup to cut the lead to 40-39. With 12.6 seconds remaining, Red Bay had a chance to win the game, but the Tigers' Nathan Gray missed a running jumper at the buzzer and Matt Wait snatched the rebound to preserve the victory.
