Red Bay VG defeat Tharptown 61-37
PHIL CAMPBELL – Defending champion Red Bay advanced to the Franklin County tournament finals with a 61-37 win over fourth-seeded Tharptown Thursday.
The top-seeded Lady Tigers had four players score in double figures as Chelsey McWilliams and Morgan each scored 15 points, while Brittany Scott had 12 and Kristin Sharp added 11.
Laken Barnett led Tharptown with 11 points, and Hollie Hines scored nine.
Phil Campbell VB beat Belgreen 94-51
PHIL CAMPBELL – Phil Campbell broke open a close game with a 29-point second quarter as the Bobcats beat Belgreen 94-51 in the Franklin County tournament quarterfinals.
The No. 1-seeded Bobcats had four players score in double figures as Caleb Thompson scored 22 points and Tanner Maddox added 20, while Jonathan Dill had 16 and Pablo Stantiago added 10.
Spencer Harget paced No. 4 Belgreen with 12 points, and Kyle Warren finished with 11.

2-Mile Run/Walk
TUSCUMBIA – The Run 2 Cavalry 2-Mile Run/Walk will be held Saturday, Feb. 2 at Calvary Baptist Church beginning at 9 a.m.
