Opal Jane Whitehead Isbell

Opal Jane Whitehead Isbell, 76, of Tuscumbia, passed away Dec. 26 at Russellville Health Care.
Funeral services were held Dec. 29 at Spry Memorial Chapel with Bro. Steve Nugent and Bro. Ron Bradford officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Donnie Hood, Jimmy Hood, Phillip Whitehead, Byron Graves and James Isbell.
She is survived by sons, Jerry Wayne Isbell and wife, JoDonne, of Sheffield, Jimmy Doyle "JD" Isbell and wife, Carolyn, of Athens; daughter, Janice Taylor and husband, Glynn, of Spruce Pine; brothers, L.B. Whitehead, M.R. Whitehead, J.L. Whitehead and James Harold Whitehead; sisters, Magdelene Hood and Hazel Moxley; grandchildren, Jo Ellen Graves and husband, Byron, James Isbell, Virginia Isbell, Emily Taylor, Paul Taylor, Angie Bogus and husband, Jason, John Isbell, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Jones and Jake Graves; a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Isbell; son, John Allan Isbell, Sr. and Edna Jean Isbell; grandson, Brian Wayne Isbell; parents, Lonzo and Hester Frost Whitehead; brothers and sisters, Agnes Cagel, Junior Whitehead, Dock and Betty Quay Whitehead.
She was a member of Bethel Temple. Appreciation to Dr. Keith Morrow, Jean Hester, staff at Russellville Health Care, Burns Nursing Home and Good Samaritan Hospice.
