Resort announces benefit tourney
December 6
FLORENCE – The first annual Doublehead Resort Sporting Clay Benefit will be held Friday, December 6 at the resort's multi-station sporting clay course. The five-member teams will enjoy a day of shooting that will also include breakfast, lunch, shooter's package and prizes. The entry fee is $500 per team, and all proceeds will benefit the Northwest Alabama Community Health Association. FCYBO deadline

The Franklin County Youth Basketball Organization has extended registration until Friday, December 7. There are seven age divisions available, including 6-and-under co-ed and 8-and-under, 10-and-under and 12-and-under for boys and girls. Millenium Run
December 31
The annual Millenium Run 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run will be held Monday, December 31.
