Eagles down Belgreen

TUSCUMBIA – Covenant Christian swept Belgreen Tuesday.
The Belgreen varsity boys forced overtime, but the Eagles hit two free throws in the closing seconds to win 72-70.
Shane Fretwell scored 24 points for Belgreen, and Brent Newell added 19.
The Belgreen varsity girls lost 74-59 as Covenant Christian's Crystin Johnson scored 31 points and had 13 rebounds and eight blocks.
Amy Smith led Belgreen with 19 points, and Elizabeth Stuts added 13 for the Lady Eagles.
