Montgomery moves into 12th on AHSAA list
Josh Montgomery, a senior placekicker for Russellville High School, has moved into 12th place on the Alabama High School Athletic Association's all-time record list for extra points.
He is now three PATS behind Jimmy Tuley and five behind former Golden Tigers kicker Elliot Bishop, who hold the school rcord with 129.
Montgomery was 5-of-5 for PATs last Friday against Florence, and he now has 124 extra points in his career and is 30-of-32 this season. He also kicked two field goals against the Falcons, which tied Bishop's career record of 11.

Youth basketball registration
November 17
The Russellville Parks and Recreation department is holding registration for youth basketball until Nov. 17. The progra is for boys and girls ages 6-18 years old, and the age control date is September 1, 2007. Cost is $35 per player, or $60 fwo players. The late registration deadline is November 19-24, with a $5 late fee. For more information, contact the department at 332-8770.
