Vina Fall Festival a success

I had the privilege to attend Vina School's Fall Festival, a fundraiser for the school, this past week.
When I got to the school I found a parking lot filled up with cars and people packed into a crowed gym, each person lined up to give their money in various activities that benefit the school.
There were the traditional attractions like the cakewalk and the football toss, and then there were the non-traditional attractions like the toy walk and the fortuneteller.
I think the toy walk was a very creative and interesting idea.
I have never seen it at a festival before.
The junior class sponsored a hayride to raise money for the prom this year.
Each booth represented a classroom, and the money raised by the booth will go to purchase classroom supplies.
Vina School may be a small community school, but it has many people who are willing to stand behind it by opening their wallets for fundraisers and other events for the school.
Not every school is that lucky, but thankfully all of Franklin County's Schools, including the Russellville schools, have a community willing to do what is necessary to stand behind them to better their kids and their communities.
Thanks for everyone who attended the fundraiser and helped support the school.
You will be paid back with the kids in your community receiving a quality education, and that it is worth every penny.
