Civitan sponsoring concert Nov. 3

Melissa Cason
The Russellville Civitan Club will present "Franklin County Sings," a fundraiser event to fund scholarships and other charities in the community, on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007 beginning at 7 p.m.
Civitan member Milton Sage said the event will hopefully be held annually, and will replace the club's smaller, and non-profitable fundraisers.
"We hope that this will take the place of some of our other fundraisers," Sage said.
Lisa Hacker and the Anything Goes Band will be the headlining performers with RHS Choir Ensemble, Danny Hacker, the Red Bay FFA Quartet, Emma McDowell, Kevin Adams and Hannah Keller also performing at the event.
"Lisa Hacker is Zac and Angela's sister, and is a example of the talent Franklin County has to offer," Sage said.
Angela Hacker is a former Russellville student who went on to win Nashville Star last season.
General admission for the event is $10; children's admission for ages six through 12 is $5, and all children ages five and under will be admitted at no charge.
"We wanted to make this a family event," Sage said.
The event will be held at the RHS auditorium and tickets are available at Ava's China &Gifts, Lanny Norris Insurance, Bolton Furniture, Helen K Furniture, The Franklin County Times and from any Russellville Civitan member.
