City employees budgeted raises

The Russellville City Council passed the city's new budget for the 2008 fiscal year, effectively giving city employees a 5 percent pay raise.
The raise was included in this year's budget and will take effect the first payroll period of the new fiscal year.
"This is one of the biggest budgets we've had as long as I've been on the council and working with the city," councilman Burns Saint said.
