Gertrude Miller Scott

Gertrude Miller Scott, age 86 of Vina, died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007 at Care Center of Red Bay. She was born September 23, 1920 in Alabama to Walter and Ada Childers Miller. She was a seamstress for more than 30 years and a member of The Church of God in Red Bay. She was preceded in death by two sons, T.W. Scott and Jackie Scott, her parents, three sisters, and two brothers.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007 at Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay with Bro. Doyle Peterson officiating. Burial was in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Vina.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Telmar Scott of Vina; son, Jerry Scott and wife, Kathy, of Vina; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
