Watermelon Festival still a hit for the county
By Staff
For the past two days, thousands of people gathered in downtown Russellville to attend the Franklin County Watermelon Festival.
Despite the hot weather and Friday's chance of rain, the festival turned out to be a big hit with lots of booths from crafts to candles to anything else you can dream up.
And, we can't forget the food vendors who brought corn dogs, funnel cakes, steak sandwiches and other yummy treats for a hungry tummy.
The festival is a big hit in Russellville and Franklin County as it attracts many people from different parts of the county, as well as outside visitors.
Thank you to everyone who came, and we'll see you next year.
