William Odie Bain

William Odie Bain, age 73, of Red Bay died July 27, 2007 at Red Bay Hospital. He was born September 17, 1933 in Franklin County to Lee and Edna Gillette Bain. He owned the Spur Service Station and was retired from Tiffin Motor Homes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Frank Bain, Leo Bain and Houston Bain and one sister, Maudie Holland.
Funeral services were held July 30, 2007 at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Rev. Kenneth Pind officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
He was survived by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Bain of Red Bay; three children, Janice Pind and husband, Kenneth, of Herrin, Ill., Allen Bain and Ken Bain, both of Red Bay; four granddaughters, April Baker, Angie Gillentine, Amy White and Magen Bain; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the service were Michael White, Jeff Baker, Tim Mills, Jeff Mills and Jarrel Gillentine. Tad Mills was an honorary pallbearer.

James Noble Massey
July 27, 2007
James Noble Massey, age 82, of Vina died July 27, 2007 at his residence.
He was born March 25, 1925 in Alabama to Bove and Irene Holcomb Massey. He was a member of Vina First Baptist Church and a Mason. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II and the Korean conflict. He was employed by MTN Manufacturing for 22 years.
Graveside services were held July 29, 2007 at Berry Cemetery with Bro.. Arthur Hardin officiating. Pallbearers for the service include John Ray Lindsey, James Massey, Danny Wooten, Robert Moomaw, Michael Moomaw and Keith Humphries.
He was survived by son, Jerry Wayne Massey and wife, Sylvia Ann, of Red Bay; four grandchildren, James Massey and wife Tammie, of Vina; Garrett Fredrick and wife, Annette, of Northfield, OH; Timothy Massey of Paso Robles, CA; and Susan Hill and husband, Leonard, of Paso Robles, CA; one sister, Bonnie Avery of Greenville, SC, and 11 great grandchildren.

Johnie B. Bobo

Johnie B. Bobo, age 90, of Russellville died July 27, 2007 at Russellville Hospital.
He was a native of Fayette, Alabama but has lived in Russellville since 1945. He was a deacon at Waco Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Funeral Services were held July 29, 2007 at the Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Bro. David Kelly and Bro. Billy George officiating. Burial was in the Franklin Memory Gardens.
He was survived by son, Ronnie Bobo and wife, Pat, of Russellville; daughters, Glenda Daily and husband, Larry, of Russellville, and Judy Williams of Littleville; twin brother, Lonnie Bobo of Carbon Hill; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death 17 days prior to his death by his wife of 66 years, Gladys E. Bobo; his mother, Myrtle Kirkley Bobo; father, Lois Bobo; brother, Baxter Bobo and son-in-law, Rodney Williams.

Jerome Glenn Hines

Jerome Glenn Hines, age 39, of Russellville, passed away July 29, 2007. He was survived by his son, Chris Hines; daughter, Kayla Hines; stepson, Thomas Dollman; mother, Emma Jean Hines; sister Becky Ergle and husband, Donald; mother of his children, Jeana Williams; niece, Amanda Hood; nephew, Brandon Ergle; and very close and dear friend, Bobby McKissack.
Funeral services were held July 31, 2007 at the Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville with Bro. Sammy Randolph and Bro. Daniel Holmes officiating. Burial was in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service were Chris Scott, Phillip Hall, Ty Bolton, Sammy Hall, Michael Hood, Daniell Gavin, Tommy Montgomery, and Robert Whitaker.
He is preceded in death by his father, Vernon Lee Hines; and brothers, Vernon Lee and Jimmy Glenn Hines.
Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville assisted the family.
Syble Lorene Calhoun

Syble Lorene Calhoun, age 77, of Bear Creek died July 29, 2007 at Lakeland Community Hospital. She was born July 30, 1927 in Moulton, and was a member of the Tharptown Holiness Church.
Funeral services were held July 31, 2007 at the Tharptown Holiness Church with Bro. Wayne Dotson, Bro. Mears and Bro. Ed Jordan officiating. Burial was in the Union Hill Cemetery in Moulton.
She is survived by children, Minnie Laster of Russellville, Leona Calhoun of Moulton, Brenda Waldrop of Florence, Teresa Miller of Bear Creek, and Randy Calhoun and wife, Crystal, of Bear Creek; sister, Merelene Borden of Moulton; grandsons, Gray Swimms, Anthony Laster, Barry Laster, Tim Waldrop, Stacy Waldrop, Tommy Miller, Randy Calhoun, Jr. and Ricky Swimms; granddaughters, Kendra Calhoun, Sheila Colburn, Tonya Allred, Vicki Swimms, Karen Watson, and Kayla Calhoun; 30 great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers for the service were Jamie Allred, Tommy Miller, Barry Laster, Vernon Colburn, Terrell Sawyer, Ashley Tucker, and Michael Ray. Honorary pallbearers were Robert Motes and Sammy Colburn.
She was preceded in death by husband, Daniel Calhoun, son, Danny Calhoun, grandsons, Jeff Calhoun and Matt Miller, granddaughter, Rosie Terry and parents, John Posey and Rosie Borden Posey.

Ada Pearl Jackson Simmons

Ada Pearl Jackson Simmons, age 82, of Red Bay died July 30, 2007.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2007 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home in Russellville. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007 at Oakwood Cemetery at 2 p.m. Bro. Chad Beck officiating.
She is survived by special niece and care taker, Doris James and husband, Hazel Norris James of Russellville, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleveland and Sammie Jackson; husband, Carl Simmons; brothers, Truman Jackson, Arvis Jackson, Henry Clay Jackson, Raymond Jackson, James Oscar Jackson, and sisters, Sylvia Felps, Connie Holden and Odie Mae James.
She was a member of Jonesboro Baptist Church.
Regina Larimore Montgomery
July 30, 2007
Regina Larimore Montgomery, age 57, of Russellville passed away July 30, 2007.
She is survived by her son, Allen Wayne Montgomery and wife, Christy; granddaughter, Reece Montgomery; brother, Jimmy Larimore and wife, Wanda.
Funeral services will be held Aug. 1, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville with Bro. Rickey Watt officiating the service. Burial will be in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service include Charles Kennedy, Cleveland Franks, Jonathan Spruell, Ricky Rhodes, Darrell Quails and John Kerr. Honorary pallbearers are Rex Montgomery, Sammy Kennedy, Hershel Spruell and Sam Spruell.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Montgomery; and parents, Wayne and Francis Pugh Larimore. She was a member of Ligon Springs Church of Christ. Spry Memorial Chapel of Russellville assisted the family.
