The Russellville All-Stars 9 and 10 year old team beat Tuscumbia last night 11-1.
Pollard (#5) stole home in the top of the second to bring the score to 3-0.
Bynon (#14) hit a double in the top of the third. Kitterman (#10) followed with a single. Green then stepped up to the plate and hit a homerun, running the score up to 6. Willis (#25) took a hit to be walked to first, and then stole second.
In the top of the fourth inning, Willis (#8) hit the ball into left field to earn a single. Fleming (#7) was walked. Bynon then hit an RBI to bring Willis home. Kitterman (#10) then followed with an RBI single which brought Fleming in. Kiel then hit a pop-up to left field, which was dropped by Tuscumbia's number #44. This loaded the bases.
Green then took the plate, only to hit a pop-up, which was caught. However, Green's popup was followed in the same play by several errors by Tuscumbia. All three runners previously on base made it home on Green's sacrifice.
Tuscumbia's #7 scored the only run for their team in the bottom of the fourth, after an error in center field.
The game ended when Kitterman struck out Tuscumbia's #34.
