Area basketball teams prep for fall

RED BAY – The Red Bay Lady Tigers are hosting a summer tournament Monday, June 25 at 4 p.m. in the Red Bay High School gym.
During the summer, high school basketball teams are now allowed seven competition days that teams can use to scrimmage each other.
Teams from Belmont, New Site, Tharptown and Tanner will each play one game with 20-minute halves, and Red Bay is scheduled to tip off against either Belmont or New Site at 5 p.m.
The Lady Tigers are selling Swamp John's BBQ plates for $8 that can be pre-ordered and picked up at the tournament. For more information, call Coach Donnie Roberts at 256-627-8570.
The Phil Campbell Lady Bobcats, coached by Amy Moss, will scrimmage this week at Danville High School.
